I was sent the 3 wax melts you will see below as samples and I wanted to melt a couple and share my thoughts on the scents and how they melt! I do want to mention now that I had to do some color correcting on my photos below. The colors of the wax melts themselves got a little washed out in my light box, but the colors are pretty darn vibrant and almost neon in person!
Two To Mango
Scent description: mango, lemon, raspberries, vanilla, sugar cane, whip
Please don’t eat the wax. You might want to with some of these scents but please don’t. 😉 This is one that I wouldn’t mind snacking on though…..I pick up the mango and I think a whipped cream type scent, along with maybe a little bit of a Sprite scent? But pretty muted there….Ope. That would be the lemon and vanilla whip I’m picking up. This is a very nice not overbearing or too sweet scent. I am going to have to melt this one again soon!
The throw was great and I really know it was because I left the basement for about 10 minutes to go upstairs and when I came back down, boom, MANGO! It smelled fantastic and filled up the room.
Cherry The Hatchet
Scent description: cherry slushie, salted lime margaritas
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Okay yeah this is a cherry sprite margarita.
Side note, I’m obsessed with Sprite. It’s one of my favorite drinks, so if there is lemon or lime scent in something, there’s a good chance I’ll equate that to Sprite (which I love). So if you ever see me mention Sprite in one of my scent descriptions, it’s just sort of something I’m used to smelling all the time and love. I hope that makes sense!
There is a little bit of fizzy soda feel to this one and I love it. Neither scent is overbearing and it all blends very well together. I am a big fan!
I only melted one square and that was enough for a decent scent throw as well! I also love the mix of pink and green wax when it melts.
Eat Pie, Kill Demons
Scent description: banana, plantain leaves, pie crust, butter rum
Now, I did not officially melt this one, but I did take a couple photos and still wanted to give my thoughts on the scent!
But oh my goodness please get me a glass of milk. I opened this bag for the first time and WOW. Banana and pie. Just 100%. It almost reminds me of a like, darker more adult banana pudding scent. Ya know with the bananas and the vanilla wafers? I mostly smell the bananas along with that nice crispy pie crust scent. There is a little warmth to it that I couldn’t place at first–I was thinking like cherry or some darker fruit flavored pie filling or something, but the butter rum makes way more sense. This is such a lovely scent mix! I haven’t smelled any wax like this before!
Comment below with your favorite of these! Are you picking any up?
