Mornings are for coffee and contemplation and for reading my blog so that you can learn about these stunning nail polishes! 😀
Swamp Gloss is releasing a Stranger Things themed quad this month and there are TWO thermals and TWO solar polishes! I am in love with this collection, and since friends don’t lie, you can definitely trust me on how amazing these polishes are.
I do want to admit that I have not watched Stranger Things Season 3 yet (simply due to wanting to watch it with a friend, I suppose through video chat now), so I will not have as many references here as I normally do, but I will hopefully watch it soon!
Now grab your Eggo’s and settle in for a trillion photos and all the important details.

This collection releases Friday, July 24th, 2020 at 5:00 PM PT / 6:00 PM MT / 7:00 PM CT / 8:00 PM ET
Each polish is $13.00 USD or the entire quad is $48.00 USD (a savings of $4.00 USD)
The Battle Of Star Court
Price: $13.00 USD
Description: A blue leaning teal (warm) to purple (cold) thermal polish with a teal / indigo aurora shimmer and a rainbow of UCC flakes
My swatches below are 3 coats of polish over a peel off base coat and topped with a quick dry top coat.
I did not have any application issues with this polish. I went for 3 coats just to hide any visible nail line. The flakies laid down nice and flat and it transitioned very easily!
Suzie, Do You Copy?
Price: $13.00 USD
Description: A blue (shade) to purple (sun) solar polish with red / green and violet / copper shimmer and iridescent flakies that shift purple to red to gold and pink to gold to green
NOTE: There was a typo on this label. Suzy should actually be Suzie and this will be corrected when this is sold to customers! 🙂
My swatches below are 3 coats of polish over a peel off base coat and topped with a quick dry top coat.
I did not have any application issues with this polish either. All of the flakies laid down flat and the texture is a nice thin consistency. The polish transforms almost immediately and can you believe that this was my first solar polish that I have swatched?? No I’m not kidding. I have worn a solar or two since I got into indies, but I also think I only own a few total! Now I can add these two to my collection!

The Flayed
Price: $13.00 USD
Description: A white (shade) to greige (sun) sheer jelly solar polish filled with bronze / green aurora

Funny story for how I got this photo. I actually held the bottle of polish out in the sun on our front porch then BOLTED downstairs to my light box to try and capture this. There is actually tape on the back of the bottle to hold it steady for the photo. I hope you all get a chuckle out of this info 🙂
My swatches below are 2 coats of polish over a peel off base coat and topped with a quick dry top coat.
I wanted to try and build this one up to see how many coats it would take to hide the visible nail line, but honestly I loved how it looked at two coats and just wanted to not add more.
It applies very easily and evenly and I really should try this one over different colors like black and white……I may have to go try that now.
It’s Not The Same In The Slightest
Price: $13.00 USD
Description: A light pink (warm) to red leaning pink (cold) thermal polish. With bronze / green aurora shimmer and iridescent flakes that shift purple to red to gold and pink to gold to green
My swatches below are 2 coats of polish over a peel off base coat and topped with a quick dry top coat.
I did not have any application issues with this polish. It has a nice consistency and applied evenly and smoothly just like all of the others in this collection.
There is always that one polish though that I have trouble photographing and this might be that one in this collection. It is described as “a light pink (warm) to red leaning pink (cold) thermal polish” and my photos definitely leaned heavily red to almost orange. I did do a little color correction and to my eyes on my phone and pc, they do look color correct. Definitely keep an eye out for other swatches though just to be on the safe side and so that you can compare. <3
For the nail art on my swatches I used the following:
-Maniology M030, Shape Nouveau BM-XL505 (Use my affiliate code SMASHLEE10 for 10% off at Maniology)
-Nerd Nails Plates 11
-What’s Up Nails Neither Noir
-Dance Legend Black, White
Don’t forget!

Gosh, if I HAD to pick a favorite, it might be Suzie, Do You Copy. I’m just always a sucker for purples and flakies!

Ashley, as always fantastic pictures, info and stamping! You’ve really captured this collection. Amazing!
Thank you so very much!! I was very excited to finally add nail art again to swatches!
Well, gonna have to pick up that entire collection! <3 However, the first one I will be using is The Flayed! Amazing photos and I love getting to see the polishes in different lighting! Great job as always Ashlee!
Thank you so much!! I’m so happy you like The Flayed! It’s a shifty one that is a little hard to capture on camera 😉
