Animal Crossing Polished Gamers Box

I used a peel off base coat for the swatches below, so unlike my past posts, I cannot comment on the wear or ease of removal of the polishes. Each polish is topped with a quick dry glossy top coat in my photos as well.

Now let’s get these bells!
(Items are in alphabetical order based on brand name)

All Mixed Up Lacquers - Aurora Wonderland

I have a confession to make. I hoard polishes like this one. If it’s silver and has holo or shimmer and flakies, I. Am. In. The inspiration photo was already gorgeous and this polish represents it perfectly. I haven’t played Pocket Camp too much but I am hoping that New Horizons will look at least a little like this in the winter!

Application: I used three coats as this polish to get full coverage. All of the flakies laid nice and flat.

Description: Grey scattered holographic base with blue shimmer, purple sparks, and 4 different types of flakies
Inspiration: Winter Animal Crossing Pocket Camp photo with Aurora Lights
Price: 242 bells $12.50 USD

Alter Ego
Bluebear

I have not had the pleasure of meeting this peppy little bear in my Animal Crossing town, but I’m glad to have met this polish! This polish is rather striking and I definitely feel like this one is a special and unique blue that I somehow don’t have a dupe of already (I have like, 100 blues because I know what I like!).

Application: I used two coats of this polish for full coverage and honestly had assumed I would need three! I loved how it applied so smooth.

Description: A blue base with white shimmer and holo blue microglitter
Inspiration: Animal Crossing character named Bluebear
Price: 260 bells $10.00 USD
Cap: None

NOTE: These photos appear color correct on my mobile phone but on my PC they lean a little lighter blue. The polish has almost a little bit more green / teal to it. Definitely check out all of the other swatches just to be safe <3

Chirality
Factory Reset – Restorative Nail Treatment

Every day is a gift, and so is this treatment! The scent description is peaches and juicy fruit punch, and I get hints of the fruit punch now, but before I read the real scent description I was smelling peaches and soda–almost a peaches and sprite drink! The scent definitely lingers until the next coat is put on the next day, but after about 30 minutes to an hour I don’t notice it unless my hands are close-ish to my face (but let’s be honest, I am smelling for this one pretty constantly, I love it!).
Now I’m going to hit ya with some of the important info and look below for my review notes below the pictures!

Application: This treatment goes on smooth and easy. No complaints here! It also dries in a minute or two, almost like a quick dry top coat! I did try to immediately do things (like organize my stamping plates) after applying it and I smudged it a few times, but I don’t think that changed the treatment in any way. I also noticed even though it is dry after a few minutes, you can still dent it, so just be careful!

Description: Sometimes your nails need a reset back to their typically strong and undamaged self. Factory Reset is an intense Restorative Nail Treatment designed to restore your nails back to their healthiest factory settings: strong, silky smooth, and protected.
Perform either a partial or complete factory reset to soothe damaged nails, strengthen nails, and prevent nails from peeling.
Scent: Movin’ to the Country: Gonna eat a lot of fresh peaches and juicy fruit punch.
Inspiration: Peaches
Price: 170 bells $8.00 USD
Cap: None

Instructions: Apply one coat to nails every day for six days. Remove Factory Reset on the seventh day. Use as needed afterwards.
Complete Factory Reset Instructions: Apply one coat to nails every day for six days. Remove Factory Reset on the seventh day. For the next two weeks, apply one coat twice a week and remove at the end of each week. Use as needed afterwards.
Hard working ingredients include: •Avocado Oil •Apricot Kernel Oil •Calcium Fluoride •Ginseng Root Extract •Lavender Extract
Factory Reset can also be used as a base coat! Allow it to completely dry before using nail polish.

Chirality - Factory Reset - Restorative Nail Treatment Before

Look at my poor nails….This was after swatching almost all of this box and although I wanted to trim them, I figured why not see what this factory reset could do!
I really probably should have just trimmed them because I don’t think anything can just put my nail back together (like, just look, a chunk is missing), but I still have one more polish to swatch after this so I wanted to keep the length. I also didn’t edit these pictures or moisturize too much so look out for some gnarly cuticles and probably dry skin. Also 6 days without using cuticle remover makes me sad, but I’ll do it for science! I wanted the focus to be on the nail treatment and didn’t want to risk skewing the end results, if that could even happen….who knows!
My nails do grow rather quickly and in the next few pictures you will see how much they grow (watch the back of the factory reset paint line haha).

This is right after the before picture on day one. Not too much to note here. I do really like the scent though!

Well, my nails already look a little bit better, and if anything, this would make a really nice base coat as mentioned in the instructions! This is after 2 coats of the treatment.

This is day 3, so 3 coats of the treatment. Still loving the smell!

Chirality - Factory Reset - Restorative Nail Treatment

Day 4! Still loving it. It’s definitely starting to remind me of having a french manicure.

Day 5! Oh my gosh my nails are going to break I swear. I do NOT know how this is holding them together so well. I type all day and constantly do dishes and have my hands in water, so I am just impressed. They are so long and I’m getting scared! I also washed my car by hand last night and they are all still attached and didn’t break.

Chirality - Factory Reset - Restorative Nail Treatment

Day 6! I can’t wait to see what they look like after I remove the treatment. I’m getting antsy.

Chirality - Factory Reset - Restorative Nail Treatment

Well there ya have it folks! This is on day 7 after removing the treatment with acetone filled with acetone additive. There is no editing done to this picture. I feel like the treatment definitely helped with some of the smaller spots that were peeling and after removing it I do not have any new spots that are wanting to peel so that’s awesome! I did NOT expect this to fix that huge peel spot on my middle finger, but at least it didn’t get worse. My nails definitely feel better now, almost softer, and I guess I may try to continue this treatment and see what it can do! I think it also helped my nails not break because when they get this long there is like a 80% chance they will just break.

Color Spectrum Polish
Re-Tail Reese

Well then…You could probably part with 190 bells for this polish, if that sounds okay with you?
This adorable little pink polish is based on one of my favorite adorable retailers, Reese! (Please don’t tell Timmy and Tommy, they will tell Tom and he owns my house right now!) I love how this one shifts based on lighting and how it got such nice coverage.

Application: I used two thick coats of this polish and might recommend using 2-3 thinner coats. It can build up a little bit too much in spots if you apply too much at once. So just apply polish like a normal person, haha! Otherwise the glitters laid down flat and it was easy to apply.

Description: A beautiful creamy pink pearl base loaded with pink shimmer, red microflakies, pink holo glitter, yellow iridescent glitters and black & red squares

Colores De Carol

This polish brings your grand total to a modest sum of…..2,600,430 bells! Oh! You don’t have bells? Well luckily Tom Nook accepts SOULS as payment (I mean, seriously, if he could profit off of it, I bet he would). Anywhoooooo, this gorgeous brown polish is filled with green flakies that should evoke feelings of sadness that you owe so much to Tom Nook remembrance of that green sweater Tom is so well known for!

Application: I used two coats of this polish and it applied like butter!

Copacetic Cosmetics
You spent $480,000 on sharks?!

Copacetic Cosmetics Inspiration

I remember seeing this meme years ago and laughing sooooo hard because I too had sold some ridiculous things for insane prices to Reese. I almost miss not having to craft things and just getting insane bells for shells, but I am open to this new way of selling things in New Horizons. Well, if you too loved this meme, it has been made into a bracelet and memorialized just for you!
I have been wearing this bracelet for an hour or two and haven’t noticed any reactions, so I can’t promise I won’t have one, but so far so good. Just do what you think is best if you too have a weird metal allergy! 🙂

Description: A silver bracelet featuring 9 hand painted cabochon stones using a custom nail polish that features a holographic shark glitter in the middle of each stone
Measurements: Approximately 9.75 inches long (the cabochon section is approximately 7 inches long)
Materials: Metal (silver plated / nickle free), Polish, Glitter, Glue, & Love
Inspiration: An animal crossing shark meme of sharks being Premium item of the day
Price: Double bells $12.50 USD
Cap: 20

\This is about how far down on my arm the bracelet rests if I have it set as seen in the picture right above this one. It’s a little bit big on my wrist but it definitely still fits! Since there are little circles between the cabochons, honestly you could probably tighten it to as tight as you need it!

Crystal Knockout
Star Camp

The skyline in Animal Crossing New Horizons is GORGEOUS, just like this polish! I don’t even mind standing there starting at it waiting for shooting stars. The only way the night sky could be better is if I had some shooting stars every night because I really want to build the star rod!

Application: I used three coats of this polish and it applied super smooth. I just needed one more coat than the “standard” two to achieve full coverage.

Fangirl Polish
Sweet, Like Honey

Fangirl Polish always writes the cutest product descriptions and this one below is no exception. These earrings are worth all of the bells to me because I am able to wear them! I wore them for a day and actually fell asleep in them and did not have any reactions (for those of you that are new to my blog, I am very allergic to metal and so most jewelry is out of the question). Another thing to note is that they were comfortable even after sleeping on my ear! These earrings are the perfect size and I will definitely be wearing them as much as I can!

Description: With a catchphrase of honey, Maple (the adorable brown cub villager of Animal Crossing) is as sweet as her namesake but, luckily, much less sticky.
Included in this fun earring set:
-One pair of studs featuring Maple with a cute backdrop print of her Dapper Shirt
-One pair of studs featuring the cute signature leaf logo of New Leaf

Each earring post is hypoallergenic stainless steel with butterfly backings.
Measurements: Maple – approximately 3/8” diameter
Leaf – approximately 1/4” H x 3/8” width
Ingredients: Plastic, resin, hypoallergenic stainless steel post with butterfly earring back
Inspiration: Maple from Animal Crossing New Leaf
Price: 140 bells $8.00 USD

Geekish Glitter Lacquer
I Love Eating Strawberry Cupcakes With Cream Soda!

Ya’ll better get your nets ready because this one is capped and I want another! I LOVE this scent. I also think it is my favorite scrub scent so far (sorry Lexi!). I get hints of strawberry, root beer, cream soda, cotton candy, and SUGAR. I use these scrubs quite often and this one works just as well as all the rest. I like to use it after using acetone to finish exfoliating, or before taking swatcher pictures to make sure any dead skin is gone. It’s moisturizing but not too much to feel oily or something after using it as well.

Description: This thick and luxurious sugar scrub soap is a lightly exfoliating soap based scrub. The scent is mix of sticky sweet strawberry buttercream cupcakes with bubbly cream soda that you can enjoy at your campsite
Inspiration: Inspired by the foods available in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp
Price: 100 bells $6.00 USD

jen&berries
don’t just follow the herd, daahling

I don’t think I have ever had a sheep villager move into my Animal Crossing town…..I have seen Baabara in a friends’ town, but never my own…..hmmm. That’s a little disappointing, but this polish definitely makes up for it! Maybe I will find a cool sheep villager in New Horizons!

Application: I used two coats of this polish for full coverage. It applied nice and smooth and I like how well the glitters spread out super evenly. OH and it has one of those giant nail shaped brushes–definitely a bonus.

Description: Just like Baabara’s pale aqua coat, this crelly features a mix of purple glitters, purple and blue microflakies, and a splash of blue-to-purple shifting shimmer to match her horns and scarf

Jewelry by RPF
Antique Silver Rabbit Necklace

Now Chrissy I am familiar with. This little polka dot rabbit has wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much fan art online but she is adorable nevertheless. We also almost share a birthday! We’re practically twins!
This necklace is definitely a fun addition to my collection. I was a little afraid to wear it for too long due to the metal used, but since it is lead and nickel free I want to give it a longer wear sometime soon.
Also be sure to check out the Jewelry by RPF Instagram and Facebook because I think I saw mention of free matching earrings to the first two to purchase the necklace and one pair to a third random purchaser???

Description: This necklace is a fun antique silver rabbit shaped pendant with a hand painted oval glass cabochon. Mixed three different polishes together to get this creamy white base with pastel and neon glitter and a touch of blue shimmer. It comes with an 18″ silver tone chain necklace with a lobster claw clasp. The pendant is about 2″ long and 1 1/4″ wide. It’s made from a zinc alloy metal and is lead and nickel free.
Ingredients: Zinc alloy metal, glass, nail polish
Inspiration: Chrissy, a peppy rabbit villager

Leesha’s Lacquer/Waabooz Beading
Beaded Coin Bag Keychain

This glow in the dark keychain is really making me feel like a high roller. I am just so impressed with this little beauty, especially since it was beaded all by hand! Did you know in Animal Crossing New Horizons if you see a glowing spot in the dirt and dig, that you will get a 1,000 bells bag? Well, if you plant it back in that same glowing area, you will grow a bell tree that drops 3 bells bags one time! OR you can plant 10,000 bells and that tree will give you back even more bells than that!

Measurements: Approximately 3 inches (H from the keychain to the bottom of the beaded part) x ~1.6 inches (W)
Description: A handmade beaded keychain with a bit of sparkle!

Lollipop Posse Lacquer
It’ll All Work Out

It’s really groovy to have this polish on my blog today. I actually just ordered Bubblegum K.K. today and I can’t wait to get it in the mail tomorrow! I think this polish perfectly represents everyone’s doggone favorite guitarist and I just cannot get over the amount of flakies and shimmer in this one.

Application: I used two coats of this polish and although I usually prefer going for full coverage, I didn’t want to use another coat of this one because it looked great as is!

Moon Shine Mani
New Horizons

I’m sorry if you can’t see the nail polish bottle in my first picture below because this polish is basically camo for the Animal Crossing grass! I think these lovely shades of green in the polish perfectly represent Animal Crossing and especially the new game with its vibrant updated graphics!

Application: When I saw there was a glitter crelly tri-thermal I almost cried. I have never swatched a tri-thermal before and was anxious about it. Well, I shouldn’t have worried because it somehow applied very nicely (even with all of the thick glitters–I think the nice rounded brush helps as well), and it transitioned so easily! I did not expect to get to see every color of the tri-thermal, but I was wrong, and I am so glad I was able to capture all the colors of this lovely polish for you.

Description: A tri-thermal shifting forest/medium green/lime filled with a mix of blue, green, yellow, bronze, and orange glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes

Pampered Polishes
Hop In My Van

Okay normally I wouldn’t recommend just hopping in someone’s van, but Pampered Polishes’ is just so adorable. This polish represents it perfectly and it looks like she even matched her hair and van color! I wish I had joined in on the Pocket Camp fun but personally I just don’t do well with mobile games. I also knew as soon as New Horizons came out I would have stopped playing it anyway unfortunately.

Application: This polish is a little thicker but I didn’t find it too hard to work with. I used two coats of this polish and I like how the glitters look inside of the crelly quite a bit! I did notice the glitters were sticking to the bottle, but shaking it and running a toothpick along the inside loosened a chunk of them for me.

Polish Mollish
Oh, Lolly!

This little grey polish is as cute as its inspiration! Did you know Lolly’s original Japanese name was Ramune? I LOVE those carbonated soft drinks. I definitely see some spring manicures coming with this one because the glitters are just so adorable and fun and vibrant!

Application: I used two coats of polish (the more I think about it, the more I think I may have done three, but I’m pretty sure it was only two). My photos almost look like I didn’t use a top coat, so maybe I should have done two coats of top coat, but I didn’t notice any glitters sticking out so I just went with one.

Psyche Minerals
Goldie

Okay. So work with me here. I am terrible at makeup. You don’t even know how bad. I have never used foundation or anything other than basic items, so at least I knew where to put eyeshadow! I want to mention now that I have actually never used a loose powder like this so I think I have a lot to learn on how to use them. I bet using some sort of primer would have helped, or applying it wet on my eyelids would have been smart. Anywho, I love the color (golds are usually my go to) and hopefully my n00b photos do this eye shadow justice!

Application: So I applied this to my eyes dry and on a dry sponge brush. I tried to pat it on and also sort of wipe it on. I wonder which is better for application, a sponge or an actual brush……I’ll have to look into that.
I did notice some glittery fallout becuase I LITERALLY applied a loose powder to a dry eye. hahaha Next time I will ask for help! I promise!

P.S. I had full face pictures with this on, but none of them turned out 🙁 Please check out the other swatchers and Del’s live video for more <3

Red Eyed Lacquer
Amiibo Party Time

This was my second time swatching a thermal and I think I’m finally getting the hang of it! I also love the color shift of this one and the rose flakies are just insanely gorgeous and are giving me life as the kids say.
So I have a little bit of a secret. I own this Amiibo Festival game but I haven’t played it yet! I hope someday to host a party and play this with some friends that are interested in it, but that just hasn’t happened yet. I do also collect Amiibo but I wish now that I had bought more of the Animal Crossing Amiibo cards! I need moar!! At least I have a couple that I would like to invite to my town!

Application: I used three coats for full coverage of the cold transition state for this polish. When warm and lighter blue, there is a little bit of a nail line visible, but nothing crazy! This polish applied smooth and was very easy to work with.

Description: A blue-sky blue thermal with iridescent rose micro flakies
Inspiration: Amiibo
Price: 240 bells $11.00 USD

Rogue Lacquer
Hey Fuzzy

Who knows what this polish has in store for us? Man, once again, another sheep character that I have not got to meet before! I wish she could move into my town though because she is adorable and this polish 100% represents her perfectly!

Application: I used 3 coats of this polish on all fingers except for my pointer finger where I used 4. This polish is a little bit thinner I would say due to the insane amount of flakies and glitters but that is totally okay with me! I want to try this as a topper sometime!

Description: Pastel lavender with gold micro glitter, orange purple, magenta, aqua color shifting flakes with gold metallic glitters
Inspiration: Etoile – a fun loving pastel purple sheep
Price: 340 bells $12.00 USD

Sassy Cats Lacquer
Fortune Kitty

Keee heh ha mo-atata….
This polish is my calling. It is a shifty shimmery beauty and definitely brings me back to getting my fortune read at Katrina’s shop. I really hope that she shows up in New Horizons!
And remember that bad times… are just times that are bad.

Application: These swatches are 3 coats of polish. I think it was gorgeous with only 2 coats but I went for a darker and deeper 3 coats. The polish went on super smooth and I love how it built up so nicely.

I am very lucky in that I get to show you all 6 options for these adorable resin charms Sassy Shark Charms created! I want to mention now that unfortunately there is not a spot on the Switch itself where you can hang these (I don’t recommend putting them through the fan area), but some of you may have spots on your phone or 3DS, or there is a spot on the Joycon controller holder! That is pictured below.

NOTE: The charms you purchase will have RANDOM colors. There are three color options: white, blue, and pink (all are pictured below in pink). @fixintodomynails has a charm in blue that she will be posting about as well.

Swamp Gloss
No Doy

Don’t look at me like that when I’m shopping! Even a fashion maven needs basic goods. Well excussssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee me Princess! (HA snuck in a Zelda quote).
Even though Diana is snooty, I have her Amiibo and I WILL get her to live on my island. I think I could use the fashion tips!

Application: I am honestly blanking on if I used two or three coats of this polish but I am pretty sure it was only two….Either way, I remember it applying very very smooth and the thermal is definitely sensitive and reacts to temperature changes super quick which is awesome!

Description: A thermal jelly/crelly that moves white (warm) to baby blue (cold) with purple/red/gold shifting shimmer and matching iridescent flakes, with matte mint and pink hexes.
Inspiration: Diana, the snooty deer
Price: 340 bells $12.00 USD

Treo Lacquer
Brosephine Beach

So all of my islanders so far are obsessed with working out and doing yoga and singing…basically the opposite of me, but anywho… I gifted one of my neighbors a protein shaker this morning and he almost cried he was so happy. I feel like I should have been wearing this polish while doing that because the name suits my islanders perfectly. I think all of my islanders are sporty! HALP!

Application: So, I used three coats of this polish and it applied super smooth. I wanted to get full coverage and I think three coats definitely darkens it a little bit. If you check out @fixintodomynails swatches of this polish you can definitely see the lighter minty green color on her nails. I was too obsessed with full coverage and inevitably changed the color just a little bit!

Description: A minty aqua holo like the sun glinting off the ocean
Inspiration: In New Horizons sometimes a Brosephine like me just needs a stroll along the beautiful coastline
Price: 250 bells $11.50 USD
Cap: 50
