I am back with another collection from Pin-Up Paint! Now, I will have a LOT of information about everything below so be sure to check it all out! This is a VERY special and exciting collection! Yay!

SO. Have you ever watched Umbrella Academy? If so, you may catch a glimpse of something familiar in the first episode of season 2.
In May 2019, Pin-Up Paint was approached by a set buyer to use her polishes as a set piece / prop for a show. That show just happens to be Netflix’s Umbrella Academy! I suppose my blog title and asking if you had watched it before sort of gave it away…..but I don’t care!!! It’s just so exciting! 😀 Season 2, episode 1 airs on July 31st, 2020 and hopefully you will be able to catch a glimpse of these stunning pink lidded polishes in the background!
These 9 polishes below (along with new eye shadows) will be available for preorder from July 25th through July 30th!
These preorders will begin to ship August 3rd.
The preorders will go live 7/25 at 7:00 AM PT / 8:00 AM MT / 9:00 AM CT / 10:00 AM ET
Each polish is $10.00 USD or the full collection is $75.00 USD (That’s a savings of $15.00!). BUT during the 5 day preorder, these polishes will be 10% off! After the preorder, the polishes will be back to the full price of $10.00 USD. The eye shadows will not be included in the 10% off sale.
Each bottle is 10.5 mL and the brush included is a wide flat brush with a white lid. For my photos below I do have the classic pink lids that are unfortunately no longer available, BUT, GIVEAWAY ALERT, you will have a chance to win a full collection with these retro pink lids! This is to celebrate hitting 1,000 followers on Instagram and to celebrate being in The Umbrella Academy! Check out Pin-Up Paint’s Instagram starting 7/21 for the giveaway! The giveaway only runs 7/21 through 7/24 so be sure to enter in asap!
There will also be pressed eye shadows available in the shop! These were sent to others that are definitely more *cough* proficient at makeup 😉 So keep an eye out for that as well!
Individual eye shadow pans are $5.00 USD and there will be a pink compact version available with all 4 colors inside! The compact is $23.00 with a cap of 12. Each color is pressed in a 26mm tin (magnetic) pan.
Now, you might be thinking you have seen some of these polishes before. You are definitely correct! All but two of these have been released previously! Emmy and Ellen are the two new beauties created especially for this release. 🙂

My swatches below are all over a peel off base coat and they are topped with a quick dry top coat and / or a matte top coat for some of the photos.

Now I don’t normally gravitate towards nude-ish colors, so I don’t own or wear many, but this one is nice! I like how carmal-y it looks and the subtle shimmer is very pleasing! I am definitely going to try and wear this again some time so that I make sure I branch out more!

Now this was a tricky lady to photograph! My photos definitely leaned more orange/ coral originally, but it is a little bit more pink in person, but also it’s still coral. Honestly it’s just dang pretty. I tried to make sure my photos were as color accurate as possible but definitely check out other swatches just to be safe.
Otherwise, I am in love with the little glitters and the orange-y shimmer in this one! I do not own anything quite like it, so I did enjoy this polish quite a bit.
Sophia
Description: A sheer pink garnet base with lavender shift

Sophia is a little bit more sheer than the others here, but three coats for me seemed to hide my visible nail line. I love the little flecks in this one and check out the bottle shots for the best view of these. The brush shot also shows off the lavender shift the best!

Ooooooooooooooooooo boy the shimmer in this one. I especially love this one matte and I really think I can just let the pictures speak for themselves. 😉

This one has a gorgeous shimmer and shift and I feel like it’s even more stunning in person! I especially like how this one looks matte, but I guess I’m pretty partial to matte lately.

Description: A blush rosey pink creme

NOTE: I did notice some staining from this polish, even after only wearing it for about 30 minutes over a peel off base coat. Please be sure to double up on base coat when you wear this one!

This one has a fabulous almost pearlescent shimmer and it almost looks sort of matte even when glossy! There is almost a little bit of a 3D cat-eye gel effect to the shimmer as well! Just be sure to double up on base coat and you are all set to wear this beautiful pink!

This is a very nice thin red creme. It applied very easily and I wish I could have captured the glitter a little bit better for you! I think this has something to do with a mani I saw posted by @emilyduh, (her mani here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CCZxJ3jjAAG/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link), but all I can think of is how this is the perfect red pepper colored polish! It’s so spicy!!!

Real talk. This may be my favorite of the 9 on this blog. I know I shouldn’t play favorites but I really just can’t help it. I am so in love with this pink-gold almost champagne colored and shimmer polish and just check out my macro and matte photos. I could stare at them all day! This one especially would make for an awesome base color for some fun maybe beach day themed stamping, or it is 100% pretty enough to be worn alone!

This polish is brand new!
My swatches are three coats of polish (I am pretty sure, this is the only one I forgot to write down how many coats I used) over a peel off base coat. I had no application issues.
This polish is a little bit sheer but it built up well. As mentioned above, I am not sure if this is two or three coats, and I apologize for not remembering. This one has a very nice pearlescent shimmer to it, and I love the pink to lavender shift! This is definitely a sister to Sophia, and they pair so nicely together!
I did a Umbrella Academy Season 2 Poster inspired manicure to celebrate!
I also wanted to include a photo of one coat of each polish over black! Grace and Sally especially look like entirely new polishes and I thought each polish looked at least a little different over black vs alone. The purple sides of Sophia and Ellen are definitely more visible here!
