What is the Polished Gamers Box?
The Polished Gamers Box is a game themed box featuring several makers each month. Each box will have a gaming related theme and feature different types of indie products that include nail polish, nail care, body care, wax, and other handmade items.
What if I don’t want to order everything in the box?
That’s the beauty of the Polished Gamers Box! You can pick and choose what you want to order. No minimums or maximums, just order what items you want!
When can I get the box?
The box will launch on the 15th of every month and will be available for preorder for a five day period.
Preorders will open at 11:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM MT / 1:00 PM CT / 2:00 PM ET
Preorders will close at 9:00 PM PT / 10:00 PM MT / 11:00 PM CT / 12:00 AM ET
The turn around time will be approximately 2-4 weeks after the box preorder ends on the 20th of each month.

Domestic: $4 flat rate shipping
International: At cost shipping (Estimates: Canada $10+, Europe $15-$20+)

BCB Lacquers – Helltooth Gargantuan

“I live to serve the spirits, so I go. There is none but me to answer the call.”

Description: A black polish with green/gold and purple/gold UCC Flakies and a purple shifting shimmer.
Price: $12.50 USD

Inspiration: Embodying the Witch Doctor — surrounded by an undead army and draining the life away from his enemies and summoning spirits

My swatches below are three coats of polish over a peel off base coat and topped with a quick dry top coat. Everything laid down nice and flat and I only needed one coat of top coat.

The flakies in this polish are insane! It is just 100% full of them. I love how everything blends together so well, and there are some GIANT flakies in this one. Even with all of those flakies, it applied easily and three coats did get me full coverage. Okay, I just can’t stop talking about the flakies, but I also love the mix of their colors. Okay, I think I’m done going on about the flakies now. 😉

Color Spectrum Polish – The End of Days

“This is the place we know as the mortal realm. This is our world.”

Description: A deep ink blue shimmer with holo microflakies and orange to yellow shifting ucc flakies.

My swatches below are two coats of polish over a peel off base coat and topped with a quick dry top coat. I had no application issues and everything laid down nice and flat. I also actually really like the smaller brush on this polish. I think I’m a bigger fan now of smaller brushes, but also every different type has its benefits.

Now you’re going to want to see this one in person! The deep ink blue shimmer is so much more prominent in person and it is gorgeous. I love the mix of glitter and flakies and the smaller amount of flakies really lets the shimmer get shown off as well. Everything works together perfectly and I can’t wait to wear this one again!

Red Eyed Lacquer – Pause!

Description: Pause! Is a deep emerald green base with a red/green shifting shimmer, red/gold/green shifting flakies.

For my matte photos I actually used Red Eyed Lacquer’s Tips Matte-r Matte Top Coat.

Now this is a very complex polish! It was actually a little bit hard to photograph because the flakies and glitter are just so intense! From some angles (as you can see right below in my first photo) the polish may look like just a simple green, but move your nail ever so slightly and BAM! Glitter and flakies and shimmer galore! I really need to stop judging green polish though. I consider myself to not be the biggest fan of greens and then I wear them and love them! This one is also especially stunning matte!

Tonshi Mountain Studios – Adria

“I sense a soul in search of answers.”

Description: A house blend of Black Amethyst BBW type, Palo Santo BBW Type, Pomegranate.
Scent Notes: Floral, Musk, Sandalwood, Palo Santo Wood, Amber, Pomegranate.
Price: $3.50 USD

Ingredients: Parasoy Wax, Fragrance Oil, Colorant, Mica.
Inspiration: Adria the Witch from Diablo

Now, I think you would be fine using one small cube of this wax when you melt it, but I did two and honestly, I am so glad I did because the way the wax melts is the coolest part! Like, nothing against the smell, but uhhh check out the videos below because the way this melts is just the coolest thing ever! And how perfect for Diablo! It looks like some sort of potion or resource orb. The scent throw was great and honestly I love the way it smells even more so while it is melting!
I also like to always mention to check out the “melt after” date just to make sure you’re melting the wax once is it ready to be melted! I haven’t had an issue melting before this date, but I am sure the maker knows what they are doing. 😉

When I first opened this wax, I definitely picked up on a “clean” sort of scent. It smells like the outdoors, like you’re in a field of flowers. Like, a LOT of different flowers. And trees. It smells a little bit sharp to me as well, but also my smeller is a little bit off right now due to allergies (tis the season). It is definitely an outdoorsy fresh scent.

Swamp Gloss – Tubba Nuka Too

I actually purchased the original version of Tubba Nuka which was avaialble back in February 2020 as part of the Fallout box. This version is a new 2.0 version and I have comparisons below of both.

Now I love the original version of this polish so I had offered to simply swatch the bottle I already had for Swamp Gloss. BUT I was informed that this is a 2.0 Flakie Town version and oh my goodness yes it is. I did not expect to get full coverage but I was definitely able to, and if you use only one or two coats, this would work great as a topper too! I would say this is definitely one you will want to pick up, even if you own the original!
