Well I was so excited for the Kirby Polished Gamers Box I decided to actually put everything in a blog this month!
If you’re wondering where my blog has been, I had to take a major break from swatching for a handful of reasons. But I did offer up bottle/brush/product shots if anyone was interested in that so I do still have a handful of PR items! But if you follow me on Instagram, that’s where a lot of my posting has been.
But back to the round gumball, Kirby has been my 2022 obsession. I now own probably too many Kirby plushes and figures, and I even spent $49 on shipping alone to get a bunch of Kirby stuff from Japan (Sugoi Mart attacked my wallet). It was definitely worth it though. I’m just all around super excited for this month’s box. There are a ton of fabulous items and I have a handful to show you today!

What is the Polished Gamers Box?
The Polished Gamers Box is a game themed “box” featuring several makers every other month. Each box will have a gaming related theme and feature different types of indie products that include nail polish, nail care, body care, wax, and other handmade items.
What if I don’t want to order everything in the box?
That’s the beauty of the Polished Gamers Box! You can pick and choose what you want to order. No minimums or maximums, just order what items you want!

When can I get the box?
The box will launch on the 15th of every other month and will be available for preorder for a five day period.
Preorders will open at 11:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM MT / 1:00 PM CT / 2:00 PM ET on the 15th
Preorders will close at 9:00 PM PT / 10:00 PM MT / 11:00 PM CT / 11:59 PM ET on the 20th
What is the Turn Around Time (TAT) of PGB orders?
The TAT will be through the 20th of the month following the sale.
Example: The March PGB sale is March 15th – 20th, and the TAT would be through April 20th.
Shipping will start as soon as possible. Items begin shipping to PGB headquarters around a week after the sale ends and orders that can be shipped are shipped first.
NOTE: There are an extreme amount of shipping delays currently. Items may take longer to reach PGB headquarters and they may take longer to reach you once they ship.
If the TAT ever needs to be extended, posts and updates will be made in the Polished Gamers Facebook group.

How much is shipping for the box?
Shipping Cost Tiers:
Orders up to $50: $4.00 flat rate
Orders $50 – $150: $5.00 flat rate
Orders $150+: $6.00 flat rate
UPS is available at cost
International: This will remain at cost shipping
Customs forms are auto generated for international orders and will not be changed or adjusted to reflect a different price other than the real full cost of your order.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING CHANGES:
With changes to the VAT rules in the UK, PGB will unfortunately have to discontinue shipping to the UK for orders under £150. We would encourage group buys to the UK. Unfortunately we are unable to hold multiple orders so that once combined, the orders reach that total. Changes could occur in the future but for now unfortunately this is the solution.
If an order accidentally makes it through, unfortunately we will have to refund it.
If you do make multiple orders, shipping overages can/will be refunded if the multiple purchases are made using the same name. Shipping overages are refunded when orders are actually packaged up. Combining orders is a time consuming and manual task that the system does not just automatically do for us, so this does take a little extra time. But we do know it helps take some pressure off of releases with low cap items.
Can items return and be sold again?
All Polished Gamers Box items are exclusive to the month’s box. BUT a quarterly “respawn” began late 2020. Each quarter a handful of makers will bring back an item that was released in a previous Polished Gamers Box. These items can be the original formula, or a 2.0 new formula.
The items that return are up to the makers, but be on the look out in this group or in brands’ fan groups for polls on what could / should return!

Oh. My. Gosh. Is this not the cutest popsocket ever?! I’m pretty partial to this one because it’s Kirby, but also it just feels nice too. It’s a nice size and I love the round edges. It just feels nice when using it.
I love the glitters, and it’s not heavy, and yeah. It’s just perfect!

This beautiful blue is packed full of glitter and shimmer! The shimmer might be a little bit hard to capture in photos, but it’s definitely there! I think my angled photos and the low light photos show it off the best. I do love how the gold and blue mix so well together and the formula is nice and smooth! I also personally love when metals are mixed together, so the gold shimmer with the copper glitters is just *chefs kiss*.
I did try my hand (har har) at a swatch video because I do want to show off how these polishes apply, but I definitely have a long way to go. This video doesn’t quite do the polish justice as I did too many strokes (and the video goes out of focus) and I just in general need more video-making practice, but I wanted to include it just incase. It does look like it’s a 2 coater!

This gorgeous purple polish has some giant flakies in it! I actually call them Moby Dick flakies because they’re sooooo big! Why am I like this? I don’t know. 🤣
The polish though is so much fun. I love the reflective glitters in it and honestly this polish especially has me ready for fall and cooler temperatures. It is also just super shifty in general. I did swatch this polish on a nail wheel and it looked to be pretty opaque in 2 coats. You might need a glitter grabber top coat (this one from GGL is my favorite) but everything did appear to lay down decently flat too. Be sure to check out all the other fabulous swatches!

I can’t even with how cute this soap is. Honestly I stared at it for quite a while while taking pictures and I considered not using it and not taking any pictures after using the soap…but I made the sacrifice! Seriously though. I have a bath and body product hoarding problem so I’m forcing myself to use my soaps and scrubs, and I’m glad I have been because my Squeaky Peach soaps are awesome.
I took some photos after using the soap and as you can see, there are some colorants on my hands. Those wash off completely! Honestly just rubbing my hands together a little bit more got rid of the colorants too. So don’t worry about the soap dying your hands or anything like that–it definitely won’t!
As for the scent, I consider it to be nice and subtle. You definitely smell it more while using it of course, but even then it isn’t overwhelming. It’s a sweet lavender scent that I pick up–a little bit of lavender and sweetness–which must be the honey. Honestly it just smells clean. Like I’m around some fresh laundry that smells sweet. haha! I know sometimes lavender can get a little overwhelming if I am around too much in one spot, but this is not overwhelming at all.
The soap itself also left my hands feeling nice and soft, but I do think I’m going to have to cut this boi down to more manageable pieces….but also I don’t want to….I guess we will see if I work up the courage!
