PR SAMPLE / PAID PGB EMPLOYEE
This month’s box is extra special because it is the Polished Gamers Box 2 year anniversary AND our very first box was Zelda themed, and now this one is too!
I love Zelda personally as well, so I am THRILLED to show off all of these fabulous items. I hope you love everything! And yes, I went overboard with themed photos but it was worth it.
As always, first up is that sweet sweet FAQ then all the fabulous items!
What is the Polished Gamers Box?
The Polished Gamers Box is a game themed “box” featuring several makers each month. Each box will have a gaming related theme and feature different types of indie products that include nail polish, nail care, body care, wax, and other handmade items.
Every month a Facebook Event is created within the Polished Gamers Facebook group and within that event, a post is made for each item. Each month an album is also created that features a collage of each item.
What if I don’t want to order everything in the box?
That’s the beauty of the Polished Gamers Box! You can pick and choose what you want to order. No minimums or maximums, just order what items you want!
When can I get the box?
The box will launch on the 15th of every month and will be available for preorder for a five day period.
Preorders will open at 11:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM MT / 1:00 PM CT / 2:00 PM ET on the 15th
Preorders will close at 9:00 PM PT / 10:00 PM MT / 11:00 PM CT / 11:59 PM ET on the 20th
The turn around time will be approximately 3-4 weeks after the box preorder ends on the 20th of each month.
Where do I go to order the box?
polishedgamersbox.com
Is there a support email if I have questions about my order?
Yes! Feel free to email polishedgamers@gmail.com if you have questions about your order or the box!
Is there Polished Gamers social media I can follow?
There is!
Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/polishedgamers/
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/polishedgamers/
Discord (This is the invite link to the channel): https://discord.com/invite/TQhTYcJ
How much is shipping for the box?
Domestic: $4 flat rate shipping
International: At cost shipping (website will calculate at checkout)
Customs forms are auto generated for international orders and will not be changed or adjusted to reflect a different price other than the real full cost of your order.
STARTING JANUARY 2021
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING CHANGES:
With changes to the VAT rules in the UK, PGB will unfortunately have to discontinue shipping to the UK for orders under £150. We would encourage group buys to the UK. Unfortunately we are unable to hold multiple orders so that once combined, the orders reach that total. Changes could occur in the future but for now unfortunately this is the solution.
If an order accidentally makes it through, unfortunately we will have to refund it.
If you do make multiple orders, shipping overages can/will be refunded if the multiple purchases are made using the same name.
Shipping overages are refunded when orders are actually packaged up. Combining orders is a time consuming and manual task that the system does not just automatically do for us, so this does take a little extra time. But we do know it helps take some pressure off of releases with low cap items
Are there caps on items?
Each maker will set caps for their items and things can sell out!
Can items return and be sold again?
All Polished Gamers Box items are exclusive to the month’s box. BUT a monthly “respawn” began late 2020. Each month a max of 5 makers will bring back an item that was released in a previous Polished Gamers Box. These items can be the original formula, or a 2.0 new formula.
The items that return are up to the makers, but be on the look out in this group or in brands’ fan groups for polls on what could / should return!

Ancient Guardians
Shop | Facebook | Facebook Group | Instagram | TikTok
Description: Ancient Guardians is a plum purple jelly nail lacquer with contrasting cyan/blue/purple shifting flakies and red/orange/gold/green shifting shimmer
Price: $12.50 USD
Cap: 200
Inspiration: Inspired by the corrupted guardians in Breath of the Wild that were created by the Sheikah to help in the fight against Ganon
My swatches are 3 coats of polish and topped with 1 coat of top coat.
So this polish had full coverage at 2 coats, but I was super curious to see how much darker it got on the nail with 3 coats. I would say that 2 coats is a lighter plum (and it had full coverage), and 3 coats does definitely darken it a little bit more. It’s really just up to your preference on how dark you want the polish to look on your nails. It applied super easily and I felt no texture after only one coat of top coat.
This polish is the perfect representation of the Guardians in BOTW though. I would have put on their battle music to psych myself up as I swatched the polish, but I think I would have started sweating and shaking too much for photos. I am in love with the flakies and glitters and matte is especially strikingly beautiful. This polish just looks to have so much depth to it and I love it! Also in low light the flakies just GLOW a gorgeous blue–you will definitely want to see this in person.

HELLO!

HEY!
Okay I’m done. I promise.
Maybe…..
Any who. This decal! I love it. It’s the perfect size so it can really fit almost anywhere and it’s so shimmery and perfectly iridescent. I almost had a tough time capturing it in photos! I turned down my lamps (which now seem way too bright) so I could capture the various shifts. The glare from my lamps in my lightbox washed out the pretty colors a little bit when they were at full brightness, but you will not have this problem in person.
I of course put this one on my Alex drawers and I have some tips and tricks for application down below under the photos!

If you see something that doesn’t stick to the new surface and stays on the clear sheet, simply push the clear sheet back down and gently rub over that piece so that it adheres to the new surface.

Description: A multi-chrome polish shifting from a bright magenta/orange/gold with green micro flakes and a touch of holo. You may pick up hints of green shifts at extreme angles
Price: $13.00 USD
Cap: 150
Inspiration: Inspired by an image of Zelda from Breath of the Wild
My swatches are 2 coats of polish and topped with 1 coat of top coat.
This polish is a 1 coater! I, like always, did 2 coats out of habit though. It applied super easily and just felt so nice and buttery smooth. And the multichrome shift! OH MY! I especially love how different the shift looks in different lighting conditions. This is a gorgeous must have polish. I hope I captured every possible angle because it is just so pretty in so many ways. The dash of holo and the flakies are a little bit subtle, but still gorgeous!
I really want to wear this one again very soon.

My swatches are 2 coats of polish and topped with 1 coat of top coat.
Oooooo what a perfect polish to represent the dark evil reflection of our favorite Hyrulean hero. This polish applied super easily and I love the smaller brush that lets you apply the polish pretty dang precisely.
The holo in this polish is gorgeous and the red glitters against the black base are super eye catching. I love how they shimmer as well. I am absolutely in love with this polish matte though. Honestly it sort of matches the vaguely ghost-like look of dark Link as well when matte. I need to wear this one again soon!

Description: A red based jelly with pink-green-gold shifting shimmer, purple-blue-gold shifting iridescent flakies, and glowing purple iridescent flakies
Price: $12.00 USD
Cap: 100
Inspiration: In Majora’s Mask, we were all introduced to the most nightmare inducing moon that we have ever seen, as it grew nearer to crashing into Termina. This polish is inspired by that moon.
My swatches are 2 coats of polish and topped with 1 coat of top coat.
Oh my gosh. This is the most juicy and perfect jelly polish ever! Now if you’ve read my blogs before, you know I have said that GGL polishes always apply super easily and that is definitely the case with this one too. It just applies so smooth! There is no dragging or goopy-ness. No painful application. It just applies like a dream. My nails were also pretty short when I swatched this, but I do see a little bit of visible nail line after 2 coats but that is perfectly okay. If you do not want to see any nail line, you could always apply this jelly over a white base coat!
I hope I’m able to capture this polish though. Under bright light it just GLOWS. I mean it has a neon red-pink glow. I love it so much! But the shimmer and flakies are just so delicate and fine it was hard to capture in my photos! It is so much fun to look at in person though. The shift of the flakies is a little bit subtle, but when you see it you’ll fall in love.

Description: A taupe linear holographic with white shimmer and mauve flakes
Price: $12.00 USD
Cap: 100
Inspiration: Epona
My swatches are 2 coats of polish and topped with 1 coat of top coat.
Ohhhhhh boy. I very much look forward to any and all J&B polishes, and especially the holo filled ones as they are all SO pretty! I recently purchased and wore the spring holo collection from J&B and a few PGB polishes have been filled with holo as well and I just can’t get enough. This Epona inspired polish is no exception as it is gorgeous and pretty unique in my opinion! But I love the shade of taupe and it is just loaded with holo! Even in the shadows next to my light box as I type this it is just sparkling.
2 coats was plenty for full coverage and it applied very easily. I also do not think my top coat dulled any of the holo which is great!

Livin’ That Fairy Life

Description: Livin’ That Fairy life is inspired by the gorgeous glow of the fairy captured in bottles in various Zelda Games. It is a lilac base with purple shimmer and white/silver magnetic shift. Sprinkled in is a spatter of holo glitter. This polish shimmers and reflects from all angles. Can be worn both magnetized and unmagnetized for different beautiful looks.
Price: $12.50 USD
Cap: 60
Inspiration: Fairy in a Bottle
Not Magnetized Magnetized
Not Magnetized Magnetized
Not Magnetized low light Magnetized low light
My swatches are 3 coats of polish for my magnetized swatches, and 2 coats of polish for my not magnetized swatches. Both are topped with 1 coat of top coat.
I have a brand that is new to my blog this month! Krisable Designs (known for nail oil, vinyls, stickers, and more) has recently begun making polish! Their first polish collection will actually be releasing 2 days before Polished Gamers Box and honestly you should check it out because I feel like they pair perfectly with this polish!
So. I think I may have a better handle on magnetic polishes now! I’ll go over my process!
What I think helped the most was shaking the bottle of polish between every coat on every nail (so that the magnetic pigment would get mixed up well again), and also holding my nail under a magnet for at least a minute each time.
I started with 1 thicker coat of the polish unmagnetized. I let that dry for a little bit.
I then did another thicker coat on a nail, held that nail under a magnet for at least a minute, then I closed the bottle of polish and shook it well. Then I repeated this for my other nails.
I then did one more thick coat on each nail and held that nail under a magnet for at least a minute.
I then gave my nails a little bit of time to dry before top coating. I tried to float my top coat just incase putting on top coat does drag the magnetic pigment around, but I did still hold the magnet over each nail for a minute after top coating.
I think this all helped a lot! And I may try to experiment with the other magnets I have now!
This polish though is so fun! I will say that the magnetic line is easier to see in person–be sure to check out my low light photo! You can definitely see the magnetic line much better in that photo. I think the way the silver line blends in a little bit and with how bright my lights are, it looks like it’s a little more subtle in my photos than it is in person. I am also amazed at how different it looks magnetized versus not! It definitely does look like 2 different polishes.
The polish applied very easily, everything laid down nice and smooth, and when magnetizing it, it had a great pull.

Rainbow Triforce Pendant Necklace

Included: 18″ necklace chain

Price: $25.00 USD
Cap: 30
Inspiration: The three triangles of the Triforce!
Ingredients & Size: Stainless Steel, 3x3x1
Profound Sass just keeps creating amazing items for the Polished Gamers Box and this one is no exception! Hand stamped with the words that represent the pieces of the Triforce itself, this necklace is the perfect accessory. Now, even though all of its power can never be wielded by one, YOU can have all 3 on you at all times. AND one of the best parts? If you want, or need, to blend in with your love of Zelda (say, if you work at a job that requires business wear when at the office), that can easily be done with this necklace. YOU know that it’s Zelda inspired, but others may see something that could represent some sort of set of words of affirmation. Although if I saw someone with a necklace that said “Power” on it, I might ask them what was up with that. 😛
I do happen to be allergic to metal, and I’m weary of plated items, but this chain and pendant are stainless steel. I wore the necklace for a couple hours (and part of that was in the extreme heat to take photos and I sweat while wearing it) and I didn’t notice any sort of reaction. I mentioned sweating because I didn’t notice any sort of color running from the chain, or itchiness, or anything bad at all! 🙂

Price: $12.50 USD
Cap: 100
Inspiration: Zelda
My swatches are 2 coats of polish and topped with 1 coat of top coat.
I really truly love REL crellies (crellys? crellieys? crellyiesies? I give up). They always apply so perfectly and easily and this one is yet another fantastic creation. I didn’t feel any texture after one coat of top coat, and 2 coats of the polish was plenty for full coverage. I love the mix of metallic flakies that represent Zelda’s color scheme so well and there is the perfect amount of them in this polish! The flakies really do shine, and it’s much easier to see that in person. I think my bright lights hide the shimmer a little bit, so in person you’ll definitely be able to see it! 🙂
This is one of those perfect polishes that stands out on its own or makes a great base for nail art as well!

This polish is insane! I really can’t get over how pretty it is! And it’s so unique too! I can confidently say I don’t have a similar polish in my collection–the mix of glitters is just so cool!
It doesn’t hurt that I’m a sucker for polishes with silver or holo bases so this silvery holo base is just perfect for me. The flakies and holo just shimmer and shift so much any way that you look at your nails. The polish also applied very easily and I just realized that I didn’t feel a nail after just one coat of top coat, but I did feel a nail after putting one coat of matte top coat over that, and I don’t feel any texture. This polish also doesn’t mention that it is a topper but I put one coat over pink, black, and silver and I am just in awe of how gorgeous this one is. Especially over pink! The glitters accentuate it so well! I hope to wear this one (I’m thinking over pink actually) very soon!

Kaysa The Great

Description: A light pink crelly with gold metallic flakies and shimmer
Price: $12.50 USD
Cap: 75
Inspiration: Kaysa, one of the Great Fairies
My swatches are 2 coats of polish and topped with 1 coat of top coat.
This polish is almost a one coater! I think if you did a thicker first coat, you could do just one, but I did 2 out of habit and to make sure I had full coverage. How lovely and delicate is this polish though? I think pink and gold are the perfect combo and this polish represents Kaysa perfectly–although now I’m having flashbacks to the awkward encounters with the great fairies where they grab Link and drag him into the water for armor buffs…
Any who! This polish applied so very easily and I do not feel any texture after only one coat of top coat. The shimmer in low light is even more stunning and honestly this polish is so fun matte. It really makes the shimmer stand out!
The Sassy Shark
Oooo dangerous!

Description: Zipper pouch with a glass nail file, small buffer block, and cuticle pusher
Price: $15.00 USD
Cap: 75
Size: 8 in x 5 in
Inspiration: Link getting a wooden sword!
Materials: Canvas pouch, heat transfer vinyl
The Sassy Shark has created another fabulous pouch for us this month! This one features probably one of the most iconic Zelda lines there is! This pouch also comes with a few extra goodies that you can start stowing in this PGB exclusive bag immediately. These items include the glass nail file, a buffer block, and the cuticle pusher.
The design for this month’s bag was created using heat transfer vinyl as well and it feels like it is attached well. I did do a light scrape test using my fingernail and nothing came off, but since the letters are thin and smaller, I just recommend taking care of it so pieces don’t chip off.
The bag is itself can hold a ton (as seen in some of the photos below) and last month I even tested it out and it can even hold stamping plates–including the Elder Scrolls Apipila plate that was available as part of the Elder Scrolls Polished Gamers Box.
This bag can hold my cellphone (a Galaxy S10E) and the bag itself can fit in a purse. It’s adorable and perfect for any Zelda fan! Ooo I wonder what Zelda accessories I could carry in this…..OH! I bet I could even carry my new Skyward Sword Joycon in this. Maybe even two sets of Joycon I bet. I’ll have to test it out!

900 Hidden Koroks
Shop | Facebook | Facebook Group | Instagram
Description: Scent Notes: Apple, Peach, Berry, Orange, Cinnamon, Clove, Golden Nectar, Leaves, White Musk
Price: $4.50 USD
Cap: No cap
Size: 3.0 ounces
Inspiration: Searching for Korok seeds in Breath of the Wild
Ingredients: Parasoy Wax, Fragrance Oil, Colorant, Mica
Ooooooo this is a good one ya’ll. If you’re ready for cooler temps and fall like I am, you’re going to want this wax. I love that this is a fall-ish scent and this one makes me think of leaves and trees especially, which perfectly represents the Koroks. <3 Oh and the leaves! There will be a few different leaf shapes that will be in each wax melt and those leaves contain mica! Check out my pictures below to see just how pretty and sparkly this wax melt is!
Now for the scent. So, actually as I start to type this up, I noticed the scent was actually a little bit stronger than I remember. I have now looked at the label and I did melt it for photos about a week before the “melt after” date it turns out, so pretty soon after it was poured. I *always* mention to: “check out the “melt after” date just to make sure you’re melting the wax once is it ready to be melted! I haven’t had an issue melting before this date, but I am sure the maker knows what they are doing.” This is still the case because it still smelled lovely while I was melting it, but it definitely seems stronger now that I am almost to the “melt after” date.
I definitely think the apple, leaves, and musk are the things I smell the most. Honestly, I don’t know if I can like, say for sure I know exactly what musk smells like, but according to Google, it’s a earthy and woodsy scent. I definitely pick up like a nice apple orchard vibe. There isn’t a pine tree scent, but just trees and leaves in general, and I pick up a little cinnamon / clove as well. Not very much of either though. But maybe a tiniest bit more clove than cinnamon. There’s definitely a bit of a fruity-ness to this melt, but it’s not a sugary fruity smell. There isn’t a fake fruit smell either. I feel like I’m standing by a bunch of fresh apples. The blend between fruit and nature is perfect and neither overwhelms the other.
The scent throw was nice but not overwhelming (even when melting it before the “melt after” date). I burned this downstairs where I take pictures and after going upstairs then coming back downstairs after a few minutes, I definitely still smelled it around the room. I melted this for most of the afternoon one day as well and it just had a nice calm throw around the room I was melting it in–it never felt overpowered and I could just smell it melting throughout the day.
And don’t forget, I also like to always mention to check out the “melt after” date just to make sure you’re melting the wax once is it ready to be melted! I haven’t had an issue melting before this date, but I am sure the maker knows what they are doing. 😉

These are gorgeous polishes. Not really a fan of the game though!
Gasp! 😛 But in all seriousness, that’s totally okay!
