What is the Polished Gamers Box?
The Polished Gamers Box is a game themed “box” featuring several makers each month. Each box will have a gaming related theme and feature different types of indie products that include nail polish, nail care, body care, wax, and other handmade items.
Every month a Facebook Event is created within the Polished Gamers Facebook group and within that event, a post is made for each item. Each month an album is also created that features a collage of each item.
What if I don’t want to order everything in the box?
That’s the beauty of the Polished Gamers Box! You can pick and choose what you want to order. No minimums or maximums, just order what items you want!
When can I get the box?
The box will launch on the 15th of every month and will be available for preorder for a five day period.
Preorders will open at 11:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM MT / 1:00 PM CT / 2:00 PM ET
Preorders will close at 9:00 PM PT / 10:00 PM MT / 11:00 PM CT / 12:00 AM ET
The turn around time will be approximately 3-4 weeks after the box preorder ends on the 20th of each month.

How much is shipping for the box?
Domestic: $4 flat rate shipping
International: At cost shipping (website will calculate at checkout)
Customs forms are auto generated for international orders and will not be changed or adjusted to reflect a different price other than the real full cost of your order.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING CHANGES:
With changes to the VAT rules in the UK, PGB will unfortunately have to discontinue shipping to the UK for orders under £150. We would encourage group buys to the UK. Unfortunately we are unable to hold multiple orders so that once combined, the orders reach that total. Changes could occur in the future but for now unfortunately this is the solution.
If an order accidentally makes it through, unfortunately we will have to refund it.
If you do make multiple orders, shipping overages can/will be refunded if the multiple purchases are made using the same name.
Shipping overages are refunded when orders are actually packaged up. Combining orders is a time consuming and manual task that the system does not just automatically do for us, so this does take a little extra time. But we do know it helps take some pressure off of releases with low cap items
Are there caps on items?
Each maker will set caps for their items and things can sell out!
Can items return and be sold again?
All Polished Gamers Box items are exclusive to the month’s box. BUT a monthly “respawn” began late 2020. Each month a max of 5 makers will bring back an item that was released in a previous Polished Gamers Box. These items can be the original formula, or a 2.0 new formula.
The items that return are up to the makers, but be on the look out in this group or in brands’ fan groups for polls on what could / should return!
All of my swatch photos are taken using Cuticula’s peel off base coat (unless otherwise noted) and are topped with Vapid Lacquer’s Quick Dry Top Coat. I also top that with Red Eyed Lacquer’s Tips Matte-r Matte Top Coat for each polish.

I feel like I’m staring into a purple black hole when I look at this polish. I’m just in awe at how, well, PURPLE it is! I just wow. I am in love. I think in my photos and in the brighter lights this polish does appear to lean a little bit more blue, but I think in person (at least to my eyes) and in not as bright lights, it was definitely PURPLE. The dash of holo makes for the perfect companion and it was actually a little hard to capture! My camera just didn’t want to pick it up, but it is just gorgeous. I really think this is one of those polishes I just couldn’t quite capture fully and it’s just so much better in person!
It applied very easily and has a nice smooth formula.

This is such a lovely green multichrome. Oh my gosh. There is so much depth and shift to it! I think my favorite part may be the dark hunter/ forest green that I personally see most predominantly as I stare at my fingers while typing this. But also the bronze! Gah and I adore the hex glitters as well! I think you can see those the best in my macro photo. I did have some trouble capturing the shift though! It is definitely way easier to see in person and was definitely all due to me, not the polish at all. But I hope my different lighting photos help show it off at least a little!
It also applied really easily and went on nice and smooth.

Now this one was almost hard to photograph–at least for the bottle shots. It is SO shimmery that my camera must have been just blinded by its beauty. I cannot get enough of this polish though. Just look at my macro shots! There is just SO much shimmer, and this one makes a fabulous topper over any color or wearing it by itself is perfect as well. I really want to try this over even more colors now….oooo maybe over neon colors!
It applied super easily and the formula is so buttery smooth. I think I may have to get a backup of this one! Either way I really can’t wait to wear this again.

This polish is just straight up using magic. I think J&B used magic to create this one. Is there a magic pigment? There must be. Any who, magic aside, this polish applied so so easily and I just really do not want to take it off. There is so much shift to this polish, I really hope I was able to capture it all, but seriously, it’s so lovely in person. You’re going to want to just see it on your own hands. I didn’t do any fancy editing either (well, I really don’t ever unless it’s to color correct if needed) I promise. This is just how the polish looks in my light box under a few different lighting conditions and the photos look, to my eye, to match what I see outside of my camera. It just shifts at every turn and angle. I also can’t get over how different it looks over other colors as a topper (see my photo at the bottom of these swatches of the nail wheel). I definitely want to wear this one again very very soon!

There is a new brand to PGB participating this month and I am so excited to finally get to show these off! I actually visited Profound Sass’s site before receiving these as PR and I about lost my little mind at how hilarious and awesome everything is on the site. PLUS my deep dark secret is that I curse like a sailor (ssshhhh don’t heckin’ tell anyone), and there are quite a few items with profanities on them (rings, keychains, bracelets, etc.). Definitely make sure you are an adult before checking it out though, but also, I ate a lunchable today….so I’m not sure if I’m even an adult *really.* Any who, if you would like to check out more about the brand, here is a link to the About Us page on the site, or the link to all the important socials and the shop is up above as well!
Now, let’s get to these earrings!
The packaging is adorable and the earrings themselves are fantastic! If you have seen some of my previous jewelry reviews, you might remember that I am actually allergic to metal. I am however able to wear gold, sterling silver, and stainless steel without having a reaction (usually). I am very pleased to say that I wore these all day (they are sterling silver though so I assumed I would be fine) and I did not have any sort of reaction! They also sat very nicely in my ears which is a big deal for me because when I got them pierced, the person pierced my ears crooked so the holes are almost at a weird downward angle. I am very impressed with the detail and they are just so well made. The colors are perfect for the dragon inspiration and these would just 100% make a great addition to any collection!

For my magnetized swatches below, I used 3 coats of polish and topped with 1 coat of top coat.
For my non-magnetized swatches below, I used 2 coats of polish and topped with 1 coat of top coat.
Now, I thought I had magnetics down, but I still ended up with some possibly not the best results. That is entirely operator error. I am still in the trial and error phase with magnetics in general I think. BUT I think now you’ll be able to see the polish in a few different ways at least! So there is a silver lining! Or in this case, a red one. har har har 😉
So for my magnetized swatches, my ring finger and pinky did not want to hold the magnetic line. I think I didn’t hold the magnet on top of those nails long enough or close enough maybe. So on those two nails you can see what it will look like if the pigment spreads out a little bit–still gorgeous though! Honestly this polish is “straight fire” as the kids say! 😉 My middle two fingers did just fine (I think because they rested closer to the magnet) and there you can see the more crisp magnetic lines.
Honestly the red glow and shimmer of this polish magnetized or not is fantastic. I love the mix of flakies and glitters and it applied extra smooth. The formula is great, and I only needed two coats for full coverage when not magnetizing it. I am definitely ready to wear this one again asap!
This almost reminds me of some sort of galaxy 😀

I almost did 3 coats of this polish, but then to me, it looked like 2 coats was plenty to achieve full coverage. This polish is just so much fun. I bet since it is a jelly it would make a fabulous pond mani, but I almost wouldn’t want to use it as one because that could cover up some of the stunning flakies or hex glitters! The mix of the glitters and flakies is fabulous and everything works perfectly together. There is definitely plenty to go around too–no fishing for glitters needed here at all! This one matte is just perfection as well. Flakie filled polishes matte are still my obsession.
It applied very easily and went on super smooth. I only needed one coat of top coat as well and there was barely any texture after just the one coat. I didn’t feel like I needed a second coat of top coat at all.

Sweet Heart Polish is back in the Polished Gamers Box and she is bringing a polish that I cannot get enough of! The name is perfect *chefs kiss* and it is just PACKED with sparkles. I am a really big fan of brown polishes, especially since you definitely don’t see as many out there available. This polish in particular is fabulous especially because of the little silver sparkles! But be warned, I’m very biased–I love anything silver.
This polish applied very easily and it does has a little bit of a thicker formula, but it’s definitely not thick in a bad way at all. It applied easily for me and everything laid down nice and flat.

Tonshi has created another fabulous and rather large wax melt this month!
So before you check out my photos, I want to mention that this was my first time using this wax melter (the geometric black bottom melter) for official photos and while it works, but it didn’t let my wax melt block melt as evenly as my normal wax melter does. It still works the same in the end, but I’m a weirdo about my photos I guess so I thought I would mention it. It all still melted and smelled delightful, but it did harden around the edges at times for some photos and that is just due to the melter itself, not the wax. I may try out some larger tea light candles in the future. 🙂
Anywho! Back to this big ole brick of wax!
I would say one of the squares is plenty to melt at one time, and if your melter is smaller, you might be able to even use just half of a square and still get a good throw. I always get a melting session or two out of each piece I melt, so this isn’t just 4 “sessions” with this wax I would say, it’s more like 8-12 if not more!
This one is also filled with mica! Now, my photos are quite bright so is it a little difficult to see, but if you look close at the last handful below, you can see the sparkles!
As for the scent, this is definitely a fantastic outdoorsy scent. Oh gosh, I pick up pine trees, a little bit of almost sweet-ness–like a hint of sugar. Some clean cotton, fresh air, grass, and trees!
I actually looked up the separate scent notes because I was curious if I could pinpoint some of the smaller details I thought I was picking up.
Exotic Oud Wood – (Now I’m not sure if this is the exact same scent oil used, but it is one description for this scent) Sicilian Bergamot, Green Leaves, Lemon, Lavender, White Lilies, Tonka Amber, Exotic Oud, Vanilla
(I think this is where I’m getting the sweetness. It must be a little bit of lavender and vanilla!)
Emerald Sea Grass – White sand, cool salty sea air, with notes of freshly mown grass (yup, there is definitely almost a beachy scent there along with the grass–so fresh!)
Barnwood – Pine, Cedar, Sandalwood, Clove
Pine – The pure pine scent you love of a Christmas tree in the woods on a snowy evening
I’m a pretty big fan of outdoorsy scents so this one fits in perfectly and I really love how diverse the scent is. I don’t think there is just one part that I smell that is overbearing. It’s all mixed together so well!
I also like to always mention to check out the “melt after” date just to make sure you’re melting the wax once is it ready to be melted! I haven’t had an issue melting before this date, but I am sure the maker knows what they are doing. 😉
